Darcie M. Ryan, RN MS
In 1967, Darcie M. Ryan received her diploma from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. From the University of Portland, she earned her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing.
Darcie has 43 years of experience in the nursing field. She has been a director of nurses, a nursing home administrator, and vice president of nursing for a hospital. She served as a corporate nurse consultant for three large organizations, started a nurse advice center, and managed multiple clinic sites. Darcie
also was responsible for risk management and ancillary services for a large multi-specialty physician practice group.
Other past accomplishments include:
- President of the American Organization of NURse
Executives, Hawaii Chapter
- Board of directors member of the Health Care
Association of Hawaii
- Writer for the ANA Adult Nurse Practitioner examination
In 2004, she was honored as the first recipient of the Oregon Health Care Association “Special Service Award.”
Darcie is a focused, self-directed, and organized worker. A natural teacher, she generously shares her great depth and breadth of nursing knowledge by educating customers, colleagues, and budding nurses. Darcie is a change agent who motivates and empowers others to be their best. Her critical thinking skills enable her to troubleshoot and solve complex healthcare and business problems.
Darcie gains inspiration from the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities
No doubt have crept in;
